Models developed in Simulink are used for the design and verification of mechatronic systems as well as for virtual commissioning. In addition, the same models are used as a basis for digital twins that are used in operation for enabling flexible production, shorter cycle times and optimized service intervals. Many industrial solutions for predictive maintenance, visual inspection and reinforcement learning use AI algorithms developed and trained in MATLAB. Stateflow allows the design and test of state machines and supervisory logic.

Description of our collaboration:
The interface between Simulink and iPhysics enables users to combine their machine simulation in iPhysics with Simulink models. This allows for instance to add detailed models of hydraulic components or to test the software design.
